I recently moved back to Oxford after 23 years in California and I’ve been quite impressed with my new home at Faulkner Flats. My apartment is more like a house than an apartment and I’ve got more storage and closet space than I know what to do with. The quality of the property on the whole is far above anything else that I viewed in Oxford and I’m really pleased with my choice and I’m happy to be living here. I would recommend this community to anyone who’s looking for a top notch place to... live!

My two bed, two bath apartment was nice enough inside (albeit overpriced for what it was) but the overall experience of living at Faulkner Flats was utterly miserable. As a young professional new to the area I was hoping that living in a more "upscale" apartment community would afford me a little bit of peace and quiet after hours but that definitely wasn't the case at Faulkner Flats. My upstairs neighbors were obnoxiously loud, blaring music and stomping around until 2am and later throughout... the week. When they finally went home during holidays things were great but the rest of the time was awful despite my asking them to keep it down half a dozen times. They, along with many other neighbors from the surrounding buildings also felt it acceptable to literally park on the sidewalks and along the curbs even though there were plenty of actual parking spots available. Management at Faulkner Flats never showed any sign of interest in enforcing any rules whatsoever as long as they were getting paid. The final straw for me was when my neighbors were robbed at gunpoint (no exaggeration). I finally said enough was enough and started looking at other options. In the end I decided to just buy a $350K house despite not knowing how long I'll be in Oxford since that seemed to be the only way I could avoid the problems I encountered at Faulkner Flats. A couple words of warning for anyone considering this place - Faulkner Flats charged me a ridiculous total of $2645 in fees just to move out three months before my lease ended even though I had very legitimate grievances and was miserable there. If you are a loud, obnoxious, self absorbed student you'll probably love it at Faulkner. If you're any kind of responsible adult with a career you'll probably find yourself hating this place as much as I did. Don't take my word for it though. Do yourself a favor and drive through Faulkner Flats at night when school is in session and you'll see I'm not exaggerating about this awful place.

Faulkner Flats is a brand-new new apartment complex with great amenities. It is set in a great location that is five minutes from everything in Oxford. I love living here.
