I lived at Lexington Pointe for two years. For 6 out of 24 months, we did not have functional air conditioning including during the summer in Mississippi. Maintenance was regularly over-worked as their time is split between other Heritage Property developments. To round out our experience, move-out charges were ridiculously high. Please consider other living options

I lived in Lexington Pointe for over a year, and I must say that apartments on the first and second floors are not the best place to live. I had a hard time and started having health issues due to a lack of proper sleep at night. The flooring between apartments is very old, and if anyone upstairs walks during the night, the sound of footsteps wooden floor creaking will make you crazy. This happens even if upstair neighbors walk gently! After realizing this that it will never stop, I moved out....
The other problem I faced was with the bugs/insects. Soon after moving in, I started noticing worms in one of the bathtubs. I told them that this continued for a few weeks, and then we never used that bathroom later on. There are plenty of wasps and bees around. I used to find a couple of bees every day in the apartment, and then later during the summer, I found out that there was a huge beehive in the living room. I was moved to a new place for a week, and then they removed it.
Another important thing that mention is their terms and conditions in the lease agreement. My lease agreement says that after the lease period is over, the lease goes on a month-to-month basis, and the month-to-month fee will be $200. But they said that this condition does not apply to them as the lease document you signed is not valid after the lease end duration! I was asked to may rent + $500 per month. I found it very strange that if this condition in the lease will not be valid, why do you write $200 in the agreement and instead write the "current month-to-month" rate.
One last thing, I sometimes did not have hot water in the bathroom, and then they told me that the supply in this particular tap was from the water heater of a neighbor. It is strange that someone else has to pay for water and electricity.
Staff members are friendly, and helpful, but overall it is a pretty old property and requires maintenance. They should respect what is written in lease.

Worst experience ever! Already warned at least 7 friends- but felt the need to post. We needed a quick apt for an unforeseen layover during the house buying process. I am currently 7 months pregnant and the last 4 months have been beyond stressful. There was a constant presence of drug use in each adjacent apt. The smell was overwhelming at all times. I brought this to the attention of management several times - even though it was extremely obvious. NOTHING was ever done. My husband is the only... source of income and was not allowed to park his WORK truck in the complex because it took up more than one parking space. However, I have documentation on multiple occasions where management allowed other vehicles, large equipment, mulch, dumpsters to take up multiple spaces - not to mention there was always ample parking regardless of time. The work truck was how he got to work to pay the rent - not allowed to park where he lived. Pathetic. There are several hidden fees- all of which are NONREFUNDABLE. Read lease carefully. Pet rent, water and sewer NOT included but billed through the complex. If you want to break your lease - automatic $2000 fee. Cleaning fees, $65 per bag of trash you leave. The greediest management I’ve ever encountered. Close to cookout on Jackson so HIGH noise all the up till 3am! Maintenance is incompetent. Between the drug use, complete disregard for working families, and ridiculously high rent - I wish I could give 0 stars. Save your money and time - there are so many better options for housing in Oxford.
